About EdgeCurve.com

EdgeCurve.com has been bringing you funny photos with an even funnier community of talented caption writers since Y2K. It's simple. See a photo, write a caption, and then, maybe (just maybe!), win a prize.

What is The Caption Game?

The Captions Game is a writing contest that's been running since January of 2000. Every two weeks a new photo gets posted and people submit a caption for the photo. Then winner of each round gets a small prize from EdgeCurve.com. The rules are simple. Look at the photo, write a caption, send it on in. Done! Enter as many as you wish...creativity wins. Where do you find your photos?

We find them through a variety of means. Searching online, stock photos, etc. But the most common way is direct from the gamers. People send us silly photos all the time. Often times, the best photos to use for the game are not outright funny themselves (though many times they are). Instead, the best photos are those that leave the subject open and debatable. Each round we're simply amazed at people's creativity in seeing things we never could have thought of.

Where do you get prizes?

Again, through multiple sources. We'll partner with product and media companies for special promotions, receive a special donation from unknown sources, or simple pay for the prizes out of the EdgeCurve Staff's own pockets. Obviously, we enjoy partnering with people in a win-win situation of promotion. If you'd like more information about partnering with EdgeCurve, check out our Partnership section or Contact Us.

Is this safe for kids?

Not young kids. We try to keep things PG-13 around here. But sometimes it can teeter pretty close to R. If you're easily offended, The Caption Game is probably not for you.
