Game Rules
The rules are simple.
Rule #1: You don't talk about The Caption Game.
Rule #2: You don't talk about...just kidding! This isn't a Chuck Palahniuk website.
Entry Form
Entering is easy. Check out the photo on the entry page and think of a funny or unique way to describe what's going on. Fill out the form and send, done! Entry Form »
Entry Limit
As many as you wish. But keep in mind, it's quality, not quantity, that wins. Entering multiple times will not help.
Caption Quality
One tip: Think about it. We like funny, unique, and creative captions. The use of contrast between what is seen and what could be interpreted from that is a great way to go. What is your unique take on the photo that other people won't see coming? It can be obvious, but take it a step further and add a dash of something extra.
Caption writing is a skill. After years of judging the game, it's been shown that some people simply have a knack for it. It's one of the reasons some people win or get mentioned time after time.

Selection Process
We carefully read EVERY entry and try to pick the unique entries that strike a chord. It is a highly subjective process and it is solely up to the folks at EdgeCurve to decide what wins. We try to be as fair as possible because integrity is important to us. We want people to have a good time here and properly judging entries is an integral part of that. We don't always get it right, but our heart is in the right place.
Amateur vs. Professional Status
The Caption Game is open to writers of all skill levels. We get a range of writers - from those who write professionally in the film and television business - to those who can barely type. We don't judge based on grammar. In fact, we reserve the right to correct entries as needed for grammar and punctuation.
