Conan O'Brian and Jon Stewart
by Scott Hendrickson | October 23, 2004
You know, people can be funny. And smart. And not only that, smart and funny people are cool. I respect and admire these two guys. These two guys being Conan O'Brian and Jon Stewart. Both have that offbeat, witty sense of humor. But what sets them apart is their respect and honesty. They just seem like good people. You know, the kind of people you want to hang out with. So I'm going to try hang out with them. My next couple of weekends are open...so I think I'll invite them over to hang out and play Playstation for a while. That'd be fun. I think it would be a blast just to relax and chat with them. If fact, I'm going to do that now. I'm going to invite them over. Here's the Evite I'm sending:
What: A Playstation Party
Where: Scott's Pad in Seattle
When: This weekend or next, possibly in November
Who: Me, My pal, Jon Stewart, and Conan O'Brian (Don't worry, I have a 4-player multitap)
Hi Jon/Conan,
Just wanted to let you know that I am a big fan of your work. I am equal parts amused, entertained, and impressed by it. I think you (both of you) have a unique brand of humor that is both respectful and honest. Anyway, you entertain me, let me entertain you. Come on over to my pad for some Playstation, pizza and drinks. It's on me. While I'm not a fake newscaster or talk show host, I can throw in a witty remark here and there. I'm sure we'll avoid the uncomfortable silences that I had when Leno and Lettermen came over. I also have the new Burnout 3 which is a pretty cool game...although it's not a 4-player game. I have those too so don't worry. I'll order in some Pagliacci Pizza; it's the closest thing we have in Seattle to New York-style pizza.
Anyway, please RSVP to this Evite and I'll set things up. Thanks, I look forward to hanging out with you!
Regards,
Scott
We'll see what they say. They seem to be rather difficult to contact. Hopefully they'll see this when they are reading EdgeCurve for source material. Hi Jon! Hi Conan! Hope you can make it to my party.
